Does anyone on here hunt Collin County? I won’t say where I’m seeing them but I’ve seen some truly big deer running doe’s the last few days and it has me curious who hunts the county and what you’ve killed? I’ve had an old man telling me I needed to go hunt his property and kill some pigs for him the last month so I went to look around yesterday and today killing time on my way to different job sites and I was blown away by what I witnessed and when I told him what Id seen yesterday he didn’t have a care in the world and told me treat the place like it was mine and to shoot them to roflmao to keep them off his wheat fields and gave me free range to all of his property. I was clueless about the quality of deer hidden in that county but I’m a believer now… One of the deer I watched this morning for half an hour tending a doe was the largest deer I’ve seen in Texas in a very long time and I’ve seen my fair share of big deer, it looked more like a Oklahoma non typical than a Texas deer and he’s damn lucky it’s an archery only county or he’d be in a cooler right now. The crossbow’s in the truck and I’ll be wearing camo to work the rest of the week roflmao

One of my best friends owns property with the Collin and Hunt line running thru it. He and his neighbor kill some nice deer. He’s got pics of some giants. This was killed last week by his neighbor.

There are some big ones out there. I have heard it said there have been quite a few B&C bucks die of old age before there finally was an archery season implemented. I would not doubt it at all.

I used to pig hunt corp of engineer property about 10 to 15 years ago. Two of the biggest deer I've ever seen in the wild I saw on corp land. Amazing what happens when they get the opportunity to get old.

I was hunting a spot in Collin County up until a couple of years ago when the land was sadly lost to development. Couldn't believe the size of some of the bucks I'd see and get pictures of - truly incredible. Still hoping to someday find another place in Collin County to deer hunt but those spots are beyond scarce. But if anyone knows of one..... : )

You can tell you ain't never been a duck hunter....SHHHHHH

Seriously, as BP said Rockwall and Collin counties both have some giants...the density isn't what some places have but the genes are there. No, I don't hunt either. Good luck though!
