Would anyone be interested in doing a biggest loser contest/challenge? I am about to start exercising and really trying to get back into shape. Check in weekly, biweekly, or monthly and keep the motivation up!! I would love something that we can challenge each other on, and share work outs and such. Any ideas?

I did this once after hitting 265, fat f*** sitting in an office eating donuts/kolaches/tacos/boudin daily that vendors brought in and filled the cracks in every day after work with cold beer.

Dropped 35 lbs pretty quick. Felt really good to do it, though I didn't win.

I might be one of those. Though I'm not considered overweight, I could stand to lose about 10-15 pounds so I can enjoy a flat tummy again. peep

I get you. I guess it's all about body type. For one, I'm short, with a short torso. I'm of medium build. I'm older (like many here) so fat has replace what muscle I had at one time. On me, fat accumulates around my midsection. It's not evenly distributed and I am ripe for heart disease. On height and weight charts, 154 lbs and over is considered overweight for me! And it is. At 160 lbs, I look like I swallowed a 50 lb bowling ball. It's bad. So even a 10-20 lb lose for me makes a huge difference.

I have been up to 170 a few times and I am miserable. It's hard for me to breathe and hard for me to walk. It's like a bigger framed taller person being 100 lbs overweight. The disparity is not as big as you may think. It's all relative.

Ever notice on the weight loss commercials where some have lost 75-100lbs, while others only lost 20 or 30 lbs, but they all look of normal, healthy weight? Well, there you go. grin

Having accountability partners can be great! My best friend is mine. I tell him my weight loss before I do anyone else. He also gets the privilege of listening to me ***** and moan when I hit a plateau. I'm down 128.2 pounds since 9/1/21. If I can do it, anyone can!

I wish y'all much success in the endeavor! I only have 19.8 pounds to reach my goal, but not certain I ever will. My legs are very muscular and always have been, so losing the muscle is not something I want to do. I am only 2 inches from my goal on my waist measurement (I want to be at 32 and am at 34). My chest goal was 46 inches and it's 44 inches, so I'm gonna have to increase that a bit. I like to have the v shape torso since my shoulders are rather broad.

Y'all got this!
