I voted and my wife got to vote it was her second time since she got her US Citizenship a couple years ago.
She was impressed with how streamlined and modern and effecient with the voting process in America.

14% being reported voted in this weeks elections I guess the other 86% are the ones that never complain or are never concerned about their government total MId term elections always have had dismal turnout. Presidential years have the best turn out, congress years have the 2nd best, and this election had none of that. I'm surprised that the turn out was that high, really.

14% being reported voted in this weeks elections I guess the other 86% are the ones that never complain or are never concerned about their government total I had to drive almost an hour round trip to the voting location. There has to be a better way.

Vote early and often
Local school board tried for the again to float a huge (or our little town) bond issue. They just do not get the message. Each time they try again, the margin they get beat by increases. Last year the margin was less than 1% . In the spring, the issue failed by about 3%. This week if failed by almost 10%.
It is still a small percentage of registered voters that made the effort in our area. 20% of registered voters and only slightly above 50% are registered....so maybe 11% of folks actually voted.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

They should have put a new athletic complex with football stadium, basketball complex, track a soccer fields on the ballot and it would have passed.

figure it out rural dwellers, we need your vote According to the map that was posted in this thread, us rural folk did our job. Its the big city and border counties (this one baffles me) that are blue.
