Well I’m ditching the layouts for now. We hunted some big water that has little to no natural cover to hide in. It’s been a challenge to hunt. We decided to try the A frame and brushed it in really well. It helped we were on the X for sure but man they did not seem to mind the A frame one bit. I hate layouts too, I can't drink my coffee in them #1, and 2 your swing (kill zone) is really limited. I got 2 layout blinds, have not used them in 10 years. Not sure why I'm hanging on to them.
I sure would like to shoot a crane.

We shoot a ton of birds out of panel blinds (A frames). We'll even put them in the ponds with brush, and sit on marsh stools.
