I have been through a bunch over the years. Need a new one. The space is 200sq ft. The heater needs to be 1500W. The models I've used that showed to heat that size space have sucked. When I was a kid, we only had the models that burned down houses but today there are infrared quartz, infrared, ceramic, oil filled, and heater fans. Considering this one - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Utilitech-...hermostat-and-Remote-Included/5013269687 Any suggestions?

Walmart has an oscillating ceramic by Lasko, pretty handy.

Just check your outlets to make sure they can handle 1500 watts.

Highly recommend the radiator space heaters. They don’t dry out the air and they will get a place toasty. A couple of my buddies that I hunt with swore by one last year, and I can now attest that they flat work

Mini-split heat pump will pay for itself with electric savings.
Otherwise, go with oil-filled radiator type: get 2 of them and only run both of them on medium - opposite sides of that large room. They will last forever, don’t have to be expensive ones either, but skip the 'electronics ones' and go with mechanical thermostat.

We use a Life Smart milkhouse 1500w heater from Northern Tool to heat our 26ft trailer. I was building a home several years ago that needed some temp heat. The owner bought two of those 1500w milk house heaters. I came in one morning and the male plug from the heater was "welded" into the female of the extension cord. The cord was a heavy duty 12gauge/20 amp cord, plugged into a 20 amp circuit, and was real hot. I may have just outrun a fire. I liked those heaters and this may have been a fluke deal.

I had an oil heater almost burn up my gun room and I switched to this. It needs 240V though. 3600W.

Another +1 for the Lasko. I have this one and like it as well. I camp some in a small trailer on bird hunting trips. Not worrying about carbon monoxide while sleeping was the motivation for swapping to electric.

We have a small oscillating Lasko that is great, but we had a much larger one for the bedroom at the lake. I don't remember the brand (sold it when we sold the house) and have tried to find it online. It was a console model from what I can tell, but that thing had a digital display, could set the desired temp you wanted to reach and it would easily take a 400 sq ft room to about 72 on a freezing cold day if you wanted. I usually slept with it set to 66 or 68 and it was great.

I always though thought the oil filled radiator type worked well....and zero noise. Yep, and anything with a 'fan' in it - that fan is gonna wear out.

When I had my 10X30 job trailer, I would put a small lasko in the bedroom and a larger (taller) oscillating lasko in the main room. Worked super well and never had both on at same time. Close the bedroom door and that there smaller one performed admirably.

Yeah, be sure to check those outlets. Had a few coworkers literally melt their outlets with them in our office building.

All kinds of options...my opinion, get a window unit that has heat and air. Then you have the best of both worlds.
