I just drew for a hog hunt in January at Hagerman.
Has anyone ever been? Looking for some tips. (Can PM me if you prefer)
Thanks in advance!

I drew there as well. Their website did imply its an above average hunt, so I guess we'll see? PS (My shoulder is not looking forward to hunting with slugs)

I have been but not to hunt. My daughter volunteers there for something to do with college.
Pass the gravy.

I've hunted them and drew again this January. Saturday is really good, usually. Sunday is slow as the pigs have been pushed off. But there are still pigs around. I've decided to go to Arizona for mule deer later than usual so I'm probably gonna pass on this draw.
I'd look for obvious trails and still hunt through them. Almost everyone that was hunting was still hunting. But there were some stand hunters that were successful because they had been there before and knew likely spots.
Good luck.
No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

You may get more responses on the public hunting forum.
Been several times. It is a fun hunt. I usually just walk around and have always gotten into pigs.
There are several old threads on the Haggerman pig hun.
Good luck and have fun.
If you get a chance eat at Hucks. It’s some of best fried catfish I have ever had.

Last year just before I and my Grandson got there they did a helicopter eradication run shooting at least a couple hundred pigs. We found MANY dead pigs and only saw 6 working hard at it. Hope they don't do the same this year for you. I thought it was over the top to do that to us. Plus we were supposed to use non lead projectiles but when we got there they said we could use regular lead slugs. I bought a rifled barrel for my 870 to shoot Hornady Monoflex and my Grandson used the 250 gr. Monoflex bullet in his muzzleloader for the hunt. It sucked to find so many dead hogs, could have been an awesome hunt for my Grandson.
