What are your thoughts on best upgrade for a Rem 700? Been thinking about upgrading mine. Nothing wrong with it but am thinking about getting a lighter squeeze.

Trigger Tech. Pick the model that beat suits your needs. They’re very user friendly.

Another vote for trigger tech.

I prefer the “special” version

Can’t speak to any of the other models

I guess I'm the only hunter still using Timney. I put one in a 700 5R Milspec, a 600 and one in my AR, happy with all of them.

Timney's not bad, but Trigger Tech is the way I'd go. I've got one on a Model Seven and I think it's just a bit nicer than the Timney. I wish it was available for Model 70s.

Budget?

Triggers are very personal especially when it comes to weights, so what is your intended purpose?

Timney, trigger tech, jewel, huber, shilen, hart, pretty much anything is better than the factory trigger.

Interesting...I'm somewhat of a bougie trigger guy.

Trigger Tech Diamond is a good trigger and I tend to have more of them because there just are more floating around on the secondary market.
Bix N Andy Tac Sports are just as good
Timney Calvin Elite is a good one too
Jewel made a good trigger (rumor has it they recently shut down)

If I had to pick one...I'd shut my eyes and tell you to put a Diamond or a Bix in it.

jewel, Timney, trigger tech and bixn-andy.

all are good, Jewel is probably my preferred, But all are close enough I’d go with best price, Because thats why I have all the above. Close out sales for the win

Model 70's are known for having one of the best factory triggers available. I have two and wouldn't change a thing about them. Just curious. What do you not like about Model 70 triggers?

This. Drop in Timneys in 700’s is mostly what I have. All are really good.

I like a trigger that can be set at 1.5#. Had good luck with Timney and Jewel.
