Grandpa had one when I was a young teen. I drove and operated one at 13-15 years old. Nice little tractor.

Yes. What little I know about tractors, I learned on one of those.

We had an old Ford 9N. Guessing it was a 70's model.

Was the first tractor I ever operated

I spent many an hour on a tractor like this Ford and on a Farmal Cub.

Yes, but spent most of my early years on tractors on a Farmal Super A or a John Deere B

I learned to drive on my grandpa's Ford. 1970's and it was used when he bought it. I could not tell you the model or year.

Good memories.

Dad/Myself/Son operated a 1949 Farmall.

I kept that tractor and later bought a 1969 International Harvester.

Mowed miles of pipeline right of way with one not near as nice as that one back in the day. It was ugly but dependable

Is that an 8N or a 9N? My paternal grandfather had bigger JD twin "Poppin' Johnnys" before he briefly had a newer F*** then finally a Farmall Super C (offset) my Dad ended up with and used until he bought his own JD3XXX and sold the Farmall to a neighbor.

Pass the gravy.

Yes, America was farmed with thousands of these for years. My grandpa and my dad both had one.

I bought a 8N and took all the sheet metal off, cleaned and painted the engine, transmission and rearend ford red.Sanded all sheet metal and two coats of ford grey and assembled. It wasn't show quality but I mowed plenty of lots with it.Erby Cambell told me to buy a clutch over ride or I might run into a tree or a pond and I took his advice.

Worked a JD 4020. I usually put in the hybrid sudan during spring break. Then go fishing.

That one is just gorgeous. Where is it located? Looks like a neat venue for those of us fond of "old iron."

I was raised one a 8N and a Farmall just North of Muleshoe.

Then, when I bought my land about 40 years ago, the first thing I did was buy an 8N. I had the engine totally overhauled and bought a set of new rear tires. That thing put in a lot of wheat crops for me and neighbors.

Later I bought a JD with a front end loader and the Ford has sat without the engine cranked for about 20 years. To use it, I would have to buy a new battery, clean out gas tank, carb, pour oil through it quite a few times and see what happens. I need my butt kicked for letting that thing sit.

Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
