Many and I mean many moons ago when they first came to DFW I thought the flamed broiled BK burgers were pretty good, that was based off of their competition which was Jack in the box and McDonalds burgers.
Last time I had a BK burger was about 15 years ago, I was starving and stopped at a combo Exxon/BK place on 287 between Sunset & Alvord and it still sucked

I only get one of their burgers when I am craving a pre-sat-on burger. BK puts too much liquid on their burgers (ketchup should never be on a burger unless requested) so they're soggy but for some reason it seems they then sit on the burger before putting it in the bag. Their fries are gross too. There's a BK across the street from work so I get breakfast there about half a dozen times per year.

The original Whopper with cheese (minus ketchup) was pretty good back in the day.

Missed that, thanks. Though I haven't been to one in many, many years I almost stopped in one the other day.

The wife likes them, and I can eat the Jr Cheese Whopper and it's OK. Won't pay full price, tho, so only go if we have a coupon and good deal. Maybe once a year.

Another burger joint that's really bad is Sonic. The one here in Breckenridge is terrible. The only chain restaurant around here that's any good is DQ.

Sonic is nasty, but the crispy tacos at DQ are legit! 3 orders (9 tacos) with peppers & hot sauce and I'm good. Had them yesterday actually.

Burger King used to be my favorite, but they have went straight down hill to the level of a Joke in the Box!.. I thought maybe it was just a few, but it is all of them!! Maybe ownership of the individual franchises has something to do with it??? We used to finance them quite a bit and I can tell you they are squeezing every nickle out of them!!

Sonic has zero flavor.

After all this BK talk, I went to one at I-20 and Hwy 6 west of Eastland for lunch today. It’s connected to gas station. It was very clean including restroom. I had the original chicken sandwich. It was too hot to eat had to let it cool down a few minutes. Was ok, wouldn’t eat it everyday.

I think Pillsbury is the owner.

BK is awful. I haven't liked it for years, last summer we were on vacation, it was the only place open and my wife said "let just grab Burger King". I took one bite of my burger and threw it in the trash, it was that bad, it was heavily covered in mustard, mayo and ketchup.

And onion rings

We occasionally get a large order of tots and onion rings. They're good, but not as good as before they stopped using real oil.

SuperSonic burrito with bacon instead of sausage and no onion is good

It's seriously low grade, definitely the lowest of the natl chains. That said, about 1-2 times a year I have a hankering for a Bacon King; 2-3 bites in and I remember why I don't get it more often.

Hard pass on BK.



I will eat at Sonic but only for a Foot Long with chili, cheese and onion. No fries or anything else other than an DP.

I think if they cleaned up, remodeled and then marketed. It would propel them as a brand.

Just clean it up. Keep it simple. A few burger options, decent chicken sandwich. Improved kid meals.
Maybe decent shake or sundae.

Only time I will eat at BK if I am flying and it's at a International Airport and I get the Texas Whopper

Other than that I can't stand it for the most part
