We have received a little over an inch since yesterday here in SGP. Almost that much at the lease out west. Slow soaking rain expected thru the week. Hope everyone else is seeing some.

Weatherunderground shows 96% for over an inch tomorrow. Thank you Norma. I might have to have a morning cigar while I watch it rain. TWA/TPWD youth hunt here this weekend. Might be sloppy, but I'm thankful.

Got a little over 1" of rain since it started

Been nice slow soaking rains. Looks like Wednesday will be partly cloudy and dry in my area of North Texas

Thursday thru Sunday looks like more rain in the forecast, hopefully those rains will start to fill the ponds

After yesterday morning's epic three inches here in Sweetwater, I am waiting for sunrise to see what this morning's round has brought so far. Only started about 5:30 with plenty of lightning; radar maps show heavy shots continuing all day. Might have had an inch in the past couple of hours. We'll see.

OK. Another 1.25 inches in the rain gauge since 5:30 this morning, for a total of 4.25 inches here in Sweetwater in the past 48 hours, with more on the way.

I was wrong. It rained for about 4 hours. 1.5" in the gauge. 'Think it might be over, but I get a flash flood warning on my phone about every hour.

How come you hear more thunder as a storm is moving away from you as opposed to when it's heading toward you? I'm sure it has to do with acoustics and wind somehow. There's also an analogy to women buried in there somewhere. grin

Lots of variability in the LCRA gauges. Cherokee gauges show 1.7 to 8.4". Colorado Bend received 6"+ while I saw less then 1 at Buchanan dam. Lease in NW Burnet County got 4". We are a few miles SE of the park. Closest gauge is on property that borders us.

Just under 2&1/2 inches since yesterday about 11:30 a.m. when it started. And it looks like it's gonna be a clear, beautiful morning.
