Anyone else catch this two-part series that originally aired Monday and Tuesday night on PBS? Whether it's Baseball, the Civil War, or Country Music, Burns always seems to do his research to make sure his films tell the truth.

I caught the second episode, which is the last two hours of the four hour documentary. I thought it was great. Intend to watch the first half on Sunday when it re-airs.
My take is Who gives a S if ken burns is “woke” or whatever, he has always done great work. His documentary on the civil war, the Lewis and Clark/corp of discovery, baseball, country music, the dust bowl, the national parks, and many others are superb watching. You won’t catch me flipping past it because of what his political leanings are. Those documentaries are way more informative and educational than 99.99% of whatever else coming out. But to each their own.

You might say Part 1 covers what led to the American Buffalo reaching the brink of extinction. Part 1 also covers the role of the American Indians and how their lives were intertwined with the Buffalo. Part 2 covers the efforts of those who helped bring it back from the edge, including Charles and Molley Goodnight and many others. (Given the crusty history of Charlie Goodnight, his wife Molley must have been one hell of a woman.) I understand what's left of the Goodnight herd now resides in Caprocks Canyon State Park as the Official Texas State Bison Herd. IMHO, the series reflects very positively on the role of those early hunters who were true conservationists and recognized that good and sufficient numbers of game animals are critical to the success of hunting. Burns was also very careful to draw clear lines of distinction between hunters and poachers.
Also, never knew anything about the periodical "Forest and Stream" that would be later absorbed by its chief competitor, "Field and Stream".

I don't even know who the guy is. I was referring to PBS's fake news and clear programming agenda. Anti hunting is one of them.
