My adult daughter is friends with the band that was playing next to where the shooting went down. I was on next door when a post came on about the shooting and at the time it was saying there was one dead and several wounded. I immediately sent a text to her asking if she was ok and if I needed to come get her (she will never be too old for me to respond). Until I heard from her I had a serious pucker factor and some skipped heartbeats. She said her group of friends were just feet away from the shooters. This stuff goes on every year at Fair Park. I will never go back there again.
Only at the end do you realize the power of the Dark Side.

this was a common occurrence in the early 80's at the state fair, shootings, stabbings, beatings

going wed nite with the wife, and thursday with the daughter and her husband. we aint scared, yet! really never been in a gun fight but sil and i will be on point.
