A murder I believe has to be disclosed.

No. Only a death caused by the property has to be disclosed.

Never want to experience that again. I have and would have ridiculed someone as a superstitious idiot. I’m 58, educated, traveled the world, grounded in science, and will say with confidence that you really don’t want to come across such an entity. Believe me you really do not want that. And if you’re chuckling in disbelief then I envy you.

To be determined

My parents bought a house where the owner (being forced to sell the house he architected) shot himself in the driveway before closing. I never saw his note, but I was told he specifically mentioned he wanted to do it in the house to get at his family, but did not because he didn't want to do that to my parents. I lived there for 3 years before going to college. My bedroom was probably 20 feet away from the "site". Dad has since passed, but Mom still lives there.

Absolutely I would….. but….. you’re talking to a specific demographic of people here and there are still several among us who wouldn’t do it.

Even though it’s not required to disclose it I would. You said small town USA, they’re going to hear it within a few weeks anyway. It’s better to head that off instead of dealing with a headache later.

I’m not disclosing anything to any potential tenants, not required to by law, and that’s not a valid reason for them to break lease. But yeah, they will prob hear about it from the neighbor I’m sure.

Would I rent one out or would I rent one?

I would rent it out. I would not rent it myself.

Pass the gravy.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Unless there were some visible signs left in the house - bullet hole in the wall, bloodstains, the noose still hanging from the ceiling, or whatever - it wouldn't bother me if the house was otherwise a good deal.

I mean, people die of other causes in their home routinely ... heart attack, whatever. So not a big deal.

If I did not know it would not bother me a bit. But I’m a bit different I guess. Last year about this time I put a bunch of menthol rub under my nose a power washed a garage where someone decided that had enough.

Turns out that’s not exact legal and I was supposed to pay a company to clean that.

When the guy killed everyone at a party on Spring Creek in Plano a few years back I thought it would be neat to own the place. So did everyone else and the murders there didn't hurt the price at all that I could tell.

Probably not, especially if there were any other options. A natural death wouldn't bother me, but I think suicide is bad juju.

Sorry to disappoint you but ghost aren't real. Does nailing a woman/furry dressed up In a bunny outfit count?

I had a buddy whose roommate killed himself in his house and that same buddy passed away from colon cancer in the house. His son and sister kept possession of the house and today it is a rental. I still maintain the pool there and have yet to hear any complaints about ghost from a tenant
