Ok, after we hijacked the thread on another topic, I figured it was time to start this one. A few from here are headed to Thompson Temple, 2 weeks from friday. I never have hunted this type of animal, but it sounds like fun and a definate good time. Guys going, post here and if you have been to TT, gives your stories and pics, to get the blood boiling. I am not really sure who is going, as saginawhunter and dave and chc organized this, sounds like fun. We need to get a grocery list going Roy

Between your post on the taters and stuff and my post, there were 2 posts made, and with dial up I didn't know that other posts were being made. As for Lora, I don't know if she will be coming, that still doesn't pinpoint a time as to when we are supposed to be there. I am open for suggestions for Fri. nite, but will supply the steaks for Sat.

Okay, Lora says she is interested in going, so that leaves plenty of room with us, if someone wants to ride down with us. Tell me where you all are going to meet and we can take someone with us if they want to.

Sorry I have not been following this post. I have just been too busy to be on the internet much. I just talked with Ken this morning and here is what we have that I know. Randal and Lora, Ken, Myself, Roy, Keith Glasby and Tandy Key. At this point, these are confirmed hunters in our group. Keith and Tandy are friends through business and I have known for many years. Both are very much into hunting and the outdoors and are really good guys. At this point I know that Ken is going to call Thompson Temple and ask any questions we may still have. I am assuming that we be arriving there by late afternoon, say, 5:00 or 6:00. Roy is bringing burgers for that evening, Randal and Lora are bringing the steaks for Sat. dinner. This leaves lunches or breakfast which I and my other guys will take care of. Do we want just a snack or light breakfast before the morning hunt and lunch when we come in or a good hearty breakfast before the hunt? Ya'll speak up and we will provide what ever ya'll want. Keith also mentioned bringing "pack munchies" that we will provide as well. I think Randal and Lora are the most experienced at organizing these types of hunts so any input is appreciated. (But please do not bring the organ grinder suit) From the information on the Thompson Temple sight the hunt is all day Saturday and half day Sunday. I appreciate everyone jumping in on this and I will take care of the rest. Thanks Ya'll.
PS This is B.Y.O.B. because no one wants to supply beer for Ken !!!!!

Make sure you stay at the bottom of the hill in the cabin and not the trailer home at the top of the hill. The trailer home at the top of the hill is right next to where they dump the dead carcass' at. In the summer time, you have an "aroma" to deal with. The cabin at the bottom of the hill is not so bad. Your right next to the cooler and the cleaning area so it kinda comes in handy.

Good luck on your hunt fellas! I hope you all tag something.

I think me and Lora both have came to the concensus that snacks or something lite for breakfast to start out with, then have a good brunch/lunch after everyone comes in from the field. That has really gotten to be a better situation if we will be getting up and out before daylight. On our Javelina hunts, we do a full breakfast, but we also don't start hunting till after sun up.
