My Granddad's 1947 Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece. I've had it 43 years and still use it hard. It gets a good cleaning after each outing and still shoots fantastic, locks up tight and does it's job.
ARTexas, very nice. These fetch big $ at gun shows and are sought after. As your's, mine dies with me.

I have some good memories of shooting my Granddad's K-22 Masterpiece. I killed a lot of rats in the barns as a kid with this pistol using rat shot, and I destroyed a lot of bottles at the dump ground. Good times!

1000's of rounds through this, I got it when I was about 18 years old and literally thought I could burn it up. When I got it, it was in the box with some old ammo, 6 rounds missing from the box. We're certain that up until that time that was all that had been shot through it. They really are a "Masterpiece".

Oldest "that I shoot" would probably be this one.

Swedish Husqvarna Model 1867/74 Rolling Block. Mine was made in 1869. It started life as 12.17x42R Rim Fire. Then would have been converted to 12.7x44R centerfire for civilian use. Then Civilian converted in Sweden to 50-70. I do reload black powder loads for it. The other one in the picture is not as old and I don't shoot it so it does not count. Model 1872/89 in 8x58R Danish.

That's the same cartridge as the Colt Bisley, in the Cormac McCarthy book All The Pretty Horses, that is used by the tag-along Jimmy Blevins. I have a 1906 Colt Bisley in 38-40 that I shoot occasionally. I don't know what it means to "school" a gun, but I do shoot it.

My Elliot Remington ring 4 barrel derringer. Made between 1863 and 1880. When I can find ammo, it shoots great. 33 figure short. Can't post pics but looks good for its age.

I picked up my oldest gun today. Stopped in a little antique shop and spotted two shotguns leaning in a corner in the back restricted are people aren't allowed. I asked about them and he said he doesn't like guns, he had been given them a long time ago and they got wet and rusted and to make an offer. One was a sears roebuck 12g but the second was a Winchester 1893 12g. It has surface rust and the action won't move. I'm hoping it will clean up and break free. Ended up paying $100 for it.

Model 1894 Winchester chambered in 25-35, serial number dates to mfg in 1896. Has the octagon barrel. Cool old lever gun. Next up is a JP Sauer and Sohn 38H. I believe it was made in 1939 or 1940. Has ivory grips and the original officers holster w/ extra mag.

Early 1911 I inherited.
I shot a mag with my youngest son thru it today.
It belonged to a cousin that was an armorer in National Guard for 20+ years.
His son, who left it to me when he passed put the crimson trace grips on it but I also have walnut ones and plan to change.
