Tigger If it isn't white it is not a birddog.

Good for you. The Draats and GWPs are fine dogs, and if you like a mustache, bueno. A friend goes a step further and is an endless advocate of wire-haired pointing griffons. https://www.versatiledogs.com/articles/misc37.html

Saw one turn a coon inside out one morning. My wussy britts steered clear of him after that.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

A much better place to look for one would be here: http://vddgnabrc.org/
I'll take a Black Female every time.

I just went through this process in the last year and picked out a Drahthaar this past spring.
If you want my thoughts on the breeders around TX/OK let me know.

I am on my 3rd DD. I use to know all the breeders. It seems like there a lot of new breeders now that I don't know, but they may be great.
To get a really great one, expect to wait. The top breeders have a waiting list. I have been on lists before the female was even pregnant. My first one was more than a year wait.
