Evening gentlemen, I have a fellow lease member headed out to hunt this weekend and he needs his strings replaced on his crossbow. He had dropped it off at Cabelas some time ago and long story short, they arent able to get it done in time. He's said its been bs excuse after bs excuse and he's going to pick it up to take it somewhere else.

Does anyone know of a reliable place to have crossbow strings replaced around the Plano, Allen, Murphy area?

They don't provide strings but change out strings you buy for free

Bas pro also provides string assy for free.

Cables in Allen will do for FREE if bow was purchased from them, but you must provide your own strings. The guy at Cabelas told me to call Lancaster Archery tell them which bow you have and purchase from them.
He looked at my bow and said shoot it that string didn't need replaced.

I can tell you one place to NOT USE, and that is THE OUTHOUSE in Waco!!!! Worst customer service on this planet and I'm not the only one that says that. The man LOST my Ten Point Crossbow after I took it in to have cables and string replaced!

Allstar Garland, Lancaster in Louisville. Scheels might have someone but not sure about that. Big O's is good but a pretty good drive.

Kmons insight on archery is always top notch so I would pay attention to him.

I use On Target in Canton. Walk in, hand them what you have, tell them what all you want done, stand back and watch them work. They get weird if you want to leave it and come back.

For strings, 60x is quality and ships fast.

He ended up taking it to Mission Ridge Range in Plano off Coit and GB - had no idea the place was there.

Now fingers crossed he's able to connect with a big one!

Agree with this on On Target. They do fix it while you wait but that doesnt mean they arent busy. You gotts wait awhile sometimes but theres usually a bunch of em getting after it. I really like dealing with those guys. Their service is great. Coincidentally, the owner hunts within a few miles of me.

I had one done while I waited at bass pro in San Antonio no charge and yesterday my wife's was changed by Cabellas in Lubbock while we waited and again no charge. Not sure why your having issues as it's been painless for us.
