I was lucky this year and was drawn for South Llamo river state park Nov 7 Thru 9th for a doe and exotic hunt then was drawn for An archery bunt at teniente NWA near Raymondville hunting for whitetail bucks and nilgai starting Nov 9th to.12 . ,I'm gonna hunt that whole week str.ight. Won't bet to scout at teniente so only gonna have two days to hunt with my longbow.,,,THe archery hunt will be challenging but doe hunt should be easy. Wish me luck ! If anyone on the Teniente hunt during that time and gets to scout, please let me know what you are seeing. Also let me know where your set up so I can avoid your areas when I come in late in the hunt.I don't want to mess up anyone else's hunt.

My wifes second cousin lives on the ranch that you drive by as you make your way to the rangers station for South Llano SP. Next big flood that comes through that fence won't be repaired. So one day there will be some black buck running through the park.

On the teniente hunt if you go to the easiest access points or where the best open lanes are then you are almost guaranteed to have other people already there or walking through while you are there. Get creative and off the beaten path. Look for lots of poo for the nilgai.
