I’ve got this set up right on our fence lines stand is a foot off and same for the feeder. Feeders pen is actually tied into the property line fence. We’ve got a group lined up down our fence lines trying to pull deer but this spot doesn’t sit right with me. Just wondering what you all think about this. I figured it’s got to be illegal. Bullet would cross property line divide which is the river

Not a very clear description of what you’re talking about. To me at least.

Neighbor is set up within arms reach of my fence.. bullet shooting at feeder is crossing a property line. Is that legal is my question? He is literally set up in the very corner of his property

There should be a image that I think should clearly show what I’m talking about. I guess it’s showing up. But stand and feeder basically touching our fence. Neighbors have lined our fence but the other set ups are ok distance but this one doesn’t seem ethically right to me

He’s allowed to be on the fence line, but his projectile crossing the property line would be illegal.

Looks like a perfect place to dump pigs and gut piles - on your side of the fence of course.

There you go. But I'd talk to them first. Many years ago I caught a guy putting a stand on the fence line. I nicely explained that we don't do that, we keep all stands and feeders at least 150 yards from a fence. He didn't argue and said he understood and moved his stand farther into his property.

Well the talking to situation I don’t think would help. It’s a 200 acre place and has 7 guns on it. They simply have no room to move. It’s crazy to me how they think 7 guys is even safe but you can stand one one spot in our property and see 3 stands and feeders lol. And the place holds no deer so they are all up and down the fence trying to pull ours. We hold the deer but I don’t like this guy seeing onto our spot. His bullet does cross the property line I just don’t know if I want to start a war. They only shoot a couple of deer a year

Yeah it’s likely too

But until it does or you can prove it has you’re SOL

I have a buddy who encountered the same situation…

He put up a stand next to their stand on his side and put a mannequin in it….

Looks like they are shooting into a creek. Other than being a D move it’s likely pretty safe.

It’s a river and technically anyone can access it. We’ve seen kayaks fishing and people just on the river. If someone happens to be down there when that gun goes off I’d say that’s not safe

If they would be shooting onto his property, GW would ask them to reposition. Had a similar situation, the LO was pizzed and called the GW, problem was solved.

Yep , bullets crossing property lines is illegal.
Explain that to him or show him the actual law and tell him the GW knows about your issues. Call the GW 1st.

Call the GW. If that doesn't work revert back to the pig gut pile idea.

You can advise the GW, but he hasn't broken a law until he does shoot over the property line. A good GW and a reasonable person would work with you to find a workable solution to avoid the possibility of shooting over the property line. You also don't have to give them permission to enter your property to track a shot deer. Just be careful because that goes both ways. With 7 people on their property it may not be safe to trail a deer on their side anyway.

The setup is not technically illegal as it is, but you're tempting illegal action if bullet crosses that property line, which is certainly possible. More practically, it's dangerous, as someone mentioned above, there could be people using that river and might find themselves in wrong place wrong time. If you have limited acreage and too many hunters, at least you could swap blind and feeder locations so you're shooting down your own property line and not across it.

Or better yet, find a place along fenceline to put stand and put feeder further into property. I don't mind when people have stand along fencelines, as long as they are shooting toward the interior of their own property.
