My sister passed in 2003 at 43 years old. My parents were never the same. They played "the dance" at her funeral and I still have a hard time listening to it. Cancer sucks.

43 is way too young. Your poor parents.

I've lost both of my siblings, and my parents. 'Have one older friend that's like a brother. That'll be hard too.

Lost a younger brother to cancer in 2002. Lost my youngest brother to cancer in October of last year. I know, it sucks.

Lost a sister in 2005 to brain cancer. We were close. She was 56 years old. Never smoked or drank in her life. I'm still bitter.

I have not. But my wife lost her brother at age 18 just days before he graduated. She was 10 at the time. She still has a hard time occasionally.

Couple years ago, sister, alcohol. Bad decisions took her too young.

Lost my only brother in 2010 at the age of 31. He ran a tow truck for big rigs. On the interstate in AR and his front drive tire blew taking him across the median and into oncoming traffic. He got hit by another semi truck and his rig burst into flames. They had to use DNA from my mom to identify him.

My mom has never been the same. I’m almost 40 years old and she still wants to know play by play travel arrangements.

I’m lucky to have all siblings and kids alive and healthy, though one sister is a liberal. The wife lost her oldest brother during the virus, and she was just crushed. Killed me to see her sobbing like that.

Stepsister to Fentanyl. Claimed her as a sister. That one still puzzles me.
Stepbrother shot himself 6 months later. Claimed him as a brother. Washed his mess off Dads driveway and 2 cars off so Dad didn’t have to. Still see the scene every time I drive up to the driveway.

Lost my older brother last December. Was diabetic with heart problems. He fell in his home which caused some bleeding was sent to hospital then released. A few days later he called me and we talked about hunting. I could tell by his voice he was not feeling well. Later that day he was admitted to the hospital again with indications of a stroke. He passed a couple days later.

Yes, but not in the most common form. My parents lost their first child, who would have been my oldest sister, to Cancer when she was just three years old. I never had any idea what that must have been like until I had my own children. It was so stressful on my mom that she would later have mental issues that required hospitalization. And while I've sometimes thought such a thing could challenge one's belief in God, she remained faithful to her Lord and Savior for the rest of her life.

I haven't lost either of my siblings, thank God. My heart goes out to everyone here who has lost siblings, I can't imagine that.
