What circumstance disturbs you and causes you to look away and not watch?


A sports injury to a leg, knee, ankle, that totally bends or breaks in a way that’s just gross

VS

A person good or bad getting shot or lit up by a firearm?


My pick is the sports injury

If they’re get blasted, 9 outa 10 times needed it

Sports injury. Theismann was just gross. So was this last one.

Sports. I saw one on football film that they didn't know at the time did severe head trauma.

In the 8th grade, I watched a femur snap on the football field

Game cancelled and helicopter landed on the field, the kids leg just melted after one of our guys hit him

I’m 43 and still remember that one

I’m numb to any of it unfortunately.

I have never been shot, so it is not personal.

We are probably so used to simulated death from TV shows, seeing someone shot on screen doesn't affect us as much as a severe injury.
I'm sure seeing someone shot in person is different.

Neither really bother me but probably sports makes me cringe more. With shooting related it makes me sad. If it’s a criminal getting shot it makes me sad for the cop or good civilian.

Me too but I still like to watch a good shoot out when the perp gets what he asked for.

Seeing your best friend laying out in a parking lot with a bullet wound right above his heart and he is not responding, that was the most disturbing thing for me.

Cringe factor was watching the slo mo replay of Joe Theismann's compound fracture on his leg.

I thought of this as soon as soon as I read this post. I hated Joe Theisman back in the day, but I`d never wished that kind of injury on him. I still won`t watch it. I`ll rewind and watch a bad person getting shot with a fire arm all day long and twice on Sundays.

Hard to watch tourist at Yellowstone. You know video is posted because they did something stupid.

Sports injury is harder for me.

The war injuries I see on UkraineWarVideoReport on Reddit. The amount of damage the human body can take is amazing. The ability of the medical staff to treat those wounds is also amazing.

I don’t watch sports. I helped a funeral home for awhile. I took a body to the crematorium once and upon arrival, the gal working there pulled the sheet off. The man’s skin was green. That was hard to look at.

Being in the medical Profession and having been in Iraq as a surgeon for the USAF, i have seen a lot of carnage and over the years a fair amount of death. The human body is incredibly resilient but also very fragile at times.

I do not like watching a sports injury happen, but have no problem with treating them once they happen. I always hated getting my teeth pulled put as a lid, something about feeling those snaps of the baby roots as they got loosened….so maybe it is just some minor trauma from those childhood memories. Its the snapping type injuries i don’t watch again.
