Anyone want to guess the height of this old tree and its age? The guy standing closest to it it 6’3 if that helps It’s the biggest tree we’ve ever had to drop but it has to go bye bye unfortunately.

I’m guessing about 90’ and clueless on the age but I’ll try and get a pic of the base before it’s ground up. The roads being widened so it’s in the new right of way unfortunately.

I wish you could somehow still have it stay, like in a center island. Those are the finest DWI/DUID checkpoints I've seen. They are typically permanent checkpoints too.

Is that because of the shade they provide?

It’s a big old White oak and the state owns the tree, If you have a semi swing by and I’ll load up that 30,000 pound log LOL
