We need a new one but don't want to have to sell a kidney to get a good one. I know good and cheap probably doesn't go together when talking about a mattress but I am open to hear any suggestions ya'll have and what you like. We are both side sleepers and I wake up on my stomach usually.

I've had a couple of these and been real happy. Switched to them after spending a lot of money on some Serta or other namebrand pillowtop from the local brick an mortar and it crapped out in about 5 years. I sleep on my side mostly and back some.

Olee hybrid mattresses.

We have a Serta iComfort that's on the firm side. Took me a bit to get used to it - but I love it. Had it probably 6-7 years now. An adjustable base makes a difference too.

Just looked - we didn't pay near what they cost now - surprised they've gone up that much.

Best night's sleep you'll ever have once you get the water level right for you. Be sure to get the semi-waveless I've been sleeping on them for over thirty years and only replaced the Mattress three times and the heater twice. We love it!

Go to Sleep Experts and lay on their contraption that tells you where your pressure points are (they are pretty accurate). Then, remember to negotiate and be willing to walk away. Mattresses have enormous markups on them...and I mean ENORMOUS! Don't accept their first discount, or their second...consider their third, but try to hold out for a fourth...and they will go on sale around Presidents Day.

Stearns & Foster makes great mattresses!

Mattress Firm and Sleep Experts are owned by the same company...don't be afraid to pit the stores against each other.

I have a Serta that was a bit firm for side sleeping. I just bought a 3” memory foam egg crate topper from beauty rest and all my shoulder pain went away in one night. 60 bucks at Walmart.com.

If only buying a mattress wasn't like buying a car. And much like buying a car, the warranty is positioned as a major part of the deal.

"So tell me, how much do you want to spend?"

Got my daughter one of them that comes in a box. She loves it.
I must admit, it is pretty comfortable.

It was around 400 bucks

Nectar.

We bought an iComfort 2000 hybrid (they offer an 1000 and a 3000, I think) three-ish years ago. It's been really good and is between medium and firm. I would buy another tomorrow but I only have so many kidneys!

We have a Stearns and Foster that’s several years old. Probably time to replace, I’m afraid of the cost now. It was pricey when we bought it way back when.

We suckered for the Tempurpedic hype, and looking back, it was not worth it. I did like the magic fingers function and being able to adjust the conformation. My current memory foam is a Lull and it is slowly killing me, but I have had four back surgeries.
You can go certifiably insane reading reviews on sleep like the dead, etc. Don't feel you have to spend a bunch. Go lie on a few and take a book or something. You can't plop down for 60 seconds and make any sort of decision unless the thing is either a brick or a bottomless pool of feathers.

Good luck we went with the tempurpedic. The wife loves it, me, not so much. I am also a side sleeper and it’s decent confortable, but comfort is not necessarily conducive to spinal health.

The best mattress we ever had was a Stearns and Foster Megan Rose mattress but that has been replaced with the Estate series mattress.
Comfort Number ranges from 1 to 10 with 1 being hardest.

I was a little skeptical of the bed in a box at first. My aunt who had way more money than me and was way pickier said was the best mattress she ever had so I tried it out. 1st one I bought I figured I'd give it to one of the kids if I didn't like it but I did so it was well money well spent. I'd prob still be on the 1st one but ex wife took it when she left. I've had the current one for 4 years.

Supply chain issues. And climate change.
