I've been using them since it's on my way and I can stop at 5am and load up then hunt then fill feeders in the afternoon on my way out.

Buccees nearvTX Motor Speedway is still $11.99; spoke to store manager about why New Braunfels Buccees could be $7.99 vs $11.99 and she said each Buccees buyers and suppliers were different, so not one set of buyers and suppliers. Guess they want uniqueness per store market. Weird but guessing it works for them.

I think some random feed stores, here and there, are coming down below 11.

They likely didn't do a good forecast of what they would need, and still have corn contracted from last year when the prices were higher. They can't really come down without a loss, but they can't get to this year's cheaper crop until they clear that inventory. I would love to know how much they're selling on a daily basis. I bet they're still moving some weight.

Still 6.75 per 50# bag at South Texas Milling, 3.6 miles south of Inez. Unfortunately, not that close for most of you guys.

That would seem logical but I don’t think they do it like that. One of their suppliers told me that Bucees takes bids every Monday for Tues delivery. They are allowed to bid on as many Bucees as they want. It’s an every Monday thing. Asst mgr at Bucees told me on Tues they stay just below what others in area are getting, pretty much regardless what it comes in back door at.
🤷‍♂️

In that case we should all be telling Buccees to get bent as $11+ per bag is a hefty gouge, IMO.

New Braunfels at $7.95, Denton at $11.24. 272 miles, $5/mile, $1360 freight. 28 pallets per 48' trailer, $1360/28 pallets/40 bags = $1.21/bag of freight. $7.95 + 1.21 = $9.16. What's the other two dollars for, Buccees?

If corn up here doesn't come down soon, it might be worth the 9 hour round trip.
