I will start my Medicare in 3 months and talked to a Supplement agent yesterday that was referred from a friend who used her 2 years ago when he signed up with a plan G supplement. I`ve watched several YouTube videos in the past 2 or 3 days and though this video was extremely interesting compared to others I`ve watched. I`d even heard that some agents don`t even like quoting HDG plans and their commissions might be the reasons why. I`m interested in the G, N and HDG plan as far as pricing goes and what I feel comfortable with. I understand that everyone's heath, good or bad contributes to which plan that fits their needs the most. I`m still not clear on how you can change plans with or without going thru underwriting in the future though. The agent who I talked with hasn`t got back to me with any prices yet, but I`m wondering if she`ll give me prices for any plans other than G without me asking. Right now I`m considering the N or HDG plan.

I think plan G is the best plan available. It covers part A and B that Medicare does not approve. So, for example, if you had surgery and the doctor charged $2000 and Medicare only approved $1000 the G plan will pick up the balance.

I think plan G is the best plan available. It covers part A and B that Medicare does not approve. So, for example, if you had surgery and the doctor charged $2000 and Medicare only approved $1000 the G plan will pick up the balance. I assume that is a doctor that had opted out of Medicare since they charged 100% over what Medicare would approve( See Below). Nationwide, the plan G has the largest yearly increase and the average cost is about 27% more. Go to the 24:10 mark of the video and see how much more you will be paying for plan G in just 3 or 4 years. For someone who gets sick a lot or has an illness that would require them to see a doctor more than the average person, plan G might be the better plan. A 65 year old person and a 75 year person may not need the same plan in most cases. Using a provider that doesn't accept Medicare as full paymentSome providers who don’t accept assignment still choose to accept the Medicare-approved amount for services on a case-by-case basis. These providers are called "non-participating." • They can charge up to 15% over the Medicare-approved amount for a service, but no more than that. This is called "the limiting charge."

Medicare Part B excess charges. Plan G is the only plan that covers that. Medicare very often limits what it will pay for Part B procedures. If and when they do you are responsible for the excess. Plan G is the only plan that will pick that up for you. The premiums are slightly higher because you get better coverage.

My plan G started at $120 and goes to $220 next month. I'm going to a dermatologist today to have some abnormal cells removed from a biopsy a couple of months ago. Won't be charged since I've met the $226 deductible. Cardiologist next week. No out of pocket charge, except the premium each month. I've had some in hospital procedures that make me ahead of the game, so I like my G.

What is the difference between plan F and plan G?

My Aetna plan G is $150 a month. Wife's is $124

What is the difference between plan F and plan G? Here`s my take on it.....Plan F does not have the 226 dollar deductible Like Plan G does. Other than that, they are the same. Anyone who wasn`t on Medicare prior to 2020 can`t even get Plan F anymore so the amount of people with that plan F will decrease in the future and the rates will probably increase more than other plans because of that IMO. The guy in this video states that some folks are paying as much as 500 bucks more in yearly premiums for plan F just to not have a 226 dollar deductable.
