A real Texas music legend has passed way too soon. His sister Robyn Ludwick posted about his death on her bar's FB page.

RIP Charlie! Saw him in May and he just wanted to play before the storm hit. Great singer/songwriter.

While a Texas legend , you're wrong and he isn't as good as Zach Bryan. ZB is more talented and will make more money from one show than Charlie probably did in a lifetime

Charlie was like a country singing version of Ron White. Seemed like a guy who would say what was on his mind and not care about hurting feelings

He used to play at our venue 20+ years ago. He charged maybe 2000 a show. Had a hit record his agent tried to change the price somewhere around 8000 dollars. Told him to stick it. Charlie called and said he was playing on the agreed price. He would put on a good show and was cool with me. RIP Charlie

I got to float the Guadalupe with him before he performed with Cooder Graw at the Ice House Amphitheater. Very cool guy and one of my favorite from the Red Dirt genre.

Okay I'll say it "The Jab" got another one. Charlie Robison dies at 59 after suffering cardiac arrest.

Her ashes are spread already. So maybe that was my father. He is a street bum would do anything for a buck or an arrest I’m sure

7-8 years ago I was coming back from looking at a ranch somewhere on the western edge of the Hill Country. Stopped at a little mexican restaurant in Leakey and Charlie Robison was in there with his girlfriend/wife. Just me and them in the dining area.



Thats my only Charlie Robison story.
