I learned a long time ago when I buy a rifle that has a removeable magazine to get at least 2 extra magazines immediately. When they quit making a rifle, like my T/C Compass, they also quit making magazines. Always a good idea to have a spare or two on hand. They don't cost much and it is cheap insurance.

I need to remember that saying about clips going in little girls hair. When I take my M1 Garand to the range once a year to run an eight round mag through it and after the eighth round cycles the mag flies out and my buddies always ask me, do you want to keep your clip. I can tell them the difference now. Thanks

I've found the only terms that can create a quicker, unnecessary response to the use of "clip" and "magazine" are "poisonous" and "venomous".
