 Grandson's 2nd Dove Hunt (need to put him on some birds this weekend)

Looking for a day hunt this Saturday, both a.m. and p.m. hunts for my 9-year old grandson. Have a chance to make him a lifelong hunter if I can get him more action this year than last. Our day trip last year gave us a single lonesome dove that came flying through our area. Surprisingly, my grandson downed the flying dove with his only shot of the day. He was hooked. It was good enough for his first hunt. Afraid similar results this year may have the opposite effect.
I get the northern birds haven't made their way down yet and I'm not expecting to find conditions like Argentina but I'd like him to have a little more success this season. If successful, I think we'll have a lifelong hunter.
Willing to drive any direction from DFW. I hunted Shackelford County last weekend and it wasn't great. Any thoughts on where I might take my developing hunter this weekend? Any reports out of Wichita Falls from last weekend? Worth going east from DFW?

Thanks Bobby, he contacted me this morning. There are some birds here, but I just don't know how many after hammering them hard last weekend.

Hey Stompy did this cold front refill your high fence dove lease? I saw some flying yesterday. 2.55" of rain since Sunday, and light rain now. Suppose to rain the next 2 days. So who knows what going to happen...Bring on the rain, ponds are still very low.
