its says that at his current salary he would pay them about $1 million over the course of 25 years.
$435K @ 5.2% over 25 years = $1.5 million
Sounds like a decent deal to me.

Stupid deal if he was positive he was NFL material.He could end up paying them 3+ million dollars if he get a couple of contracts.

NIL money is going to change a lot of things. Just watch... Major colleges will soon have NIL payrolls in the $50M a year range and be competing for NFL draft eligible talent. Shedeur Sanders is making $3.5M this year at Colorado. Why would he skip his senior season and declare for the draft next year if he can make $4 or $5M to stay and play another year (or two) of college ball?

It's going to be a combo of NIL and the transfer portal. I was flipping through the games last weekend and they were talking about how the QB on the team was playing for his 4th team in 4 years (I don't remember which team it was). I get it's great for the kids, but if you are transferring every year to play for a different team, you're not a student anymore. You're basically a professional player moving from job to job. It's not just football either. Women's college volleyball has a few girls that are on school 3 and 4.

That was probably JT Daniels.
They said he’s played Texas 3 times all with different teams. Some of these guys are playing until 25.
