I'm looking for 2 scopes for different rifles. I have to stay under 1250 for total price with both scopes bought.

First rifle: AR10 platform in 6.5 Creedmoore shot range from 50 yrds out to max 400. More realistic though will be 300 yrds. Primarily used for hog and varmit hunting.

Second rifle: is a 30.06 bolt action, shot range is from 50yrds out to 250. Primarily used for deer hunting.

What I'm looking for is: clear multi coated lense, good low light transition through scope, dependable scope. Would like to stay with 30mm rings and have it be ?x?x50mm. But open to others. Any help is welcomed and appreciated. After hearing and reading about vortex issues not sure they are for me.

Are these both hunting set ups?

If yes, I'd go with a Leupold VX5HD, 2-10 x 42 for the bolt gun and make that my white tail set up. New, it's 1k. I'd spend the balance on the best Burris I could find, new or used.

I'd really like to have one really great scope for my deer rifle. The Leupold definitely checks all your boxes, especially on light gathering.

Do you have a thermal or night vision setup currently?

A Sightmark Wraith mini 4k would work awfully well on the 6.5 and open you up to a whole new work of opportunities but still function well during the daytime.

For the 30-06 I’m partial to zeiss at the price point you are talking about. Spend as much as you have left after picking up the sightmark.

Nothing wrong with a basic 3-9 or 4-12 for your 30-06. SWFA makes a 3-9 HD that gets great reviews but I've never used it.

For the 6.5, SWFA 5-20 HD wouldn't be a horrible option.

Solid advice. I've got a vx3 on my 270 and am very pleased with it. The vx3 will also be easier on the pocketbook.
I would stear clear of anything with a bdc reticle or a reticle with any hash marks unless it's FFP. Too many opportunities for mistakes otherwise.

BOLT GUN - I'm not a huge fan of Leupold but IMO a VX3 is the correct play here. There's no reason to pay for the 5 for your stated use.
Here's a pretty solid deal: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1024576465?pid=698120

On the 6.5, since it's varmint/hog, you'll want no more than 3x on the low end since you could have some close/rapid shots. But if you think you're going to as much as 400, you probably want 12-15x on the top end.

This could be a pretty solid option. It's not that heavy at 22.9, it's SFP for hunting, it's illuminated for late/early/dark shots on hogs/varmints, the reticle is not all that busy. The description is incorrect, it's .1 MRAD adjustments to match the reticle.

That's a 1". He wants a 30mm, like the VX5 HD.

5x for 50 yards? 2, 3x max IMO.

I’m can get behind the VX-5 2-10 firedot for hunting primarily and the Burris FF for the other.

I can also get behind the SS 5-20 if you want to do target plus the Burris FF for the other.

If in fact you’re going to shoot long range target the SS or the XTR II is the only real options in your price range. You just have to decide if you’re hunting at reasonable distance or shooting target at extended distances. If it’s hunting then the VX-5 is the answer.

Why would anyone need a Mil/MOA/Ballistic reticle for 250 yd max shots?

They wouldn't. but for 400, it would be very helpful.

I have a browning hells canyon 6.5 Creedmoor, I put the Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x50 with the custom dial system. To be honest for that scope only being $700 before tax, its been phenomenal. I use that rifle for anything pretty much, (except backing up clients) and I have beat it up hard. Scope has only ever knocked off zero one time in 5 years. Just a thought

You have the CDS dial?

I want to thank everyone for their input it was much appreciated and i looked into every recommendation. Just bought my scopes and got some awsome deals.

For the 6.5 Creedmoore AR10 I got the: Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 MOA EBR-2C Riflescope PST-43127.

And for the 30.06 bolt I got the: Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x50 (1 inch) CDS-ZL Duplex Riflescope 180622.

Any thoughts?

I haven't gotten the dial, I need to work up a custom load and then order the dial. I have just been shooting 143 grain Hornady Precision Hunte. I need to play around with it.

Give accurate data, they work. On height above bore, spend the time to get this as accurate as possible.

They both have good warranties.

I looked at them however at $1000 ea vs what I paid was $485.93 total. I could not pass it up. Also I know it is way more scope than I need, but at that price it's a no Brainerd. I also got a great deal on the leupold. It was $610.18 total. I thought about getting 2 Vortex's, but it is just to big for my normal hunting rifle.

Exactly same ammo two weeks ago. He had two different lot numbers. We got the first lot number documented to 800 yards. Then, we checked zero on the second lot number. It was only .1 Mil left. No elevation change needed at 100 yard paper. Then we shot the second lot number 500 yards and out. The second lot number was 100 fps faster than the first lot number. So, getting custom turrets made does not mean those turrets will forever be correct.

The owner of that rifle left it with me to do a load development. That way his ammo is all going to be the same.
