Grandkids getting trigger happy since they looked at a few of my pics. Nothing great but they are okay since I got no help from Mother Nature since May. Have a good hump day and hunting season everyon [Linked Image]

Better than mine. I've got one mature shooter, several culls, and a bunch that need at least 1-2 years.

I am surprised that the bucks are doing so well this year, as dry as it has been in Mills County! I hunt just south of Priddy and have 2 stock tanks which are still holding water in addition to a windmill that is keeping three water tanks full!

Lot of folks got good rain during early antler growing season. Did Mills not get that?

We got spring rain, but starting about mid May haven't received any rain to speak of.

The spring rains were decent, but you have to realize just how bad it was the previous 16 months. Bucks need recovery food in Jan-Mar and our rains didn't really start until after that. As Hook-Em posted above, rains after later spring were few and far between. Two years in a row my hay crop failed to make due to lack of rains after May.

Good looking bucks considering how dry it has been.
