Nothing else matters now…the starters don’t matter….the hitters don’t matter.

This dumpster fire that is the Rangers bullpen is sinking this team.

Scherzer gives up one hit through 6. Burke comes in and gives up 3 hits, 2 home runs, 3 runs….oh, and the Sborz walks one and gives up a 2 run homer.

How did Chris Young think this group could hold leads. They haven’t been able to since the beginning of the season. Burke, Sborz, LeClerc, Hernandez, Smith….go down the list, it doesn’t matter…they won’t hold a lead, they can’t even keep a game close. How do you have a bullpen where everyone is bad? How is that even possible? How does everyone Bochy puts in, spits the bit….almost every time. Certainly every time the game is on the line. This is historically bad.

The Blue Jays will catch the Rangers for the third Wildcard spot.

There is NO ONE out there that should be on this team next season.

No doubt relief pitching has sucked, but they had 3 hits, one being HR by Seager. This team"s batting avg. has dropped like a rock since All Star break. You don't score consistently and puts lots of pressure on pitching, especially relief pitching.

Yep, I get that. The runs this team scored earlier just masked the problem. There are not pitchers in the pen that can protect a lead, other than occasionally….and that’s what is sinking this ship.

You have to win games like this in the playoffs, don’t you?

The parts of the team that have covered up the problem, are now running out of steam when they need the problem to step up.

I agree with everything said however regardless of offense the pen needs to be able to come in and throw strikes and get batters out efficiently. They are not hitting spots and throwing around guys rather than going after them. Horrible.

Do you guys really expect more from the Rangers? I have been a Ranger fan since the days of Arlington Stadium, and all but ONE year did they not implode the last three weeks of the season.

They went to the World Series two years in a row.

Anyone see the stat during yesterday's FOX broadcast, to All Star Break, their BA with runners in scoring position was 1st in MLB at .297, since break, 20th at .236. That's not getting it done when it counts and we all know about their bullpen issues. Couple those together and you get a team likely missing the playoffs. I see Tampa, Houston or Seattle and Toronto securing the wildcards.

The Rangers have had the worse bullpen in MLB for 5 years. Until this year they had a bunch that should have still been in the minors. Now they have veterans that should be out of baseball.
