SRV is soooo overrated.....
This coming from a guy who thinks the U.S was a little heavy handed dropping bombs on Japan...... SRV was one of the best guitarists of all time. Was a highly desired session musician as well, he played guitar on David Bowie's Album "Lets Dance". As far as SRV and Double Trouble, lyrically, I agree that they are over-rated. Good but not great group. But he was already quite famous before he died.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

80’s for me. 70’s a close second. Country and rock in both decades was pretty damn good.
