SRV was one of the best guitarists of all time. Was a highly desired session musician as well, he played guitar on David Bowie's Album "Lets Dance".

As far as SRV and Double Trouble, lyrically, I agree that they are over-rated. Good but not great group.


But he was already quite famous before he died.

80’s for me. 70’s a close second. Country and rock in both decades was pretty damn good.

While yes the 70s had some good music they loose points because of disco, which still sucks by the way,
