Me and Ol' Buster went hunting this morning. He did his thang. I have no idea what that growth is on his eye. The vet wanted $1000 to remove it. It's not bothering him and I bet they would take part of his eyelid off. I don't want that.

Throckmorton County at TTT Ranch with 2 sons, brother and a friend. There were birds for sure. We just chose bad spots. Trey and his dad David were excellent hosts. The 40 hunters were all very courteous and the hunt was organized well.

Would expect nothing less, way to knock'em down

My day ended with only 1 bird. That's what happens when you don't have time to scout public land and are hoping the birds are there like last year.

I did find a few teal for next weekend and the highlight of the day is seeing a covey of Bobwhites. I haven't seen any quail in north texas since I don't know when.

Had one field this afternoon. 13 hunters, 13 limits in 45 minutes. I'd post a pic but this damn site ain't working properly.

That group of 13 didn't start in their field till this afternoon, it was loaded with whitewings. Got 2 more untouched fields till tomorrow afternoon. I do believe they'll have a few too.

Yes she is a Boykin. She did fine it actually wasn’t too bad and we had a nice breeze. Sat in the shade and occasionally she would get in the pond. Kept a bowl of water next to us. She had a lot of fun. She is getting a good nap right now!

26 down in 2 hunts in Throckmorton county. Nice limit in a hour or so yesterday PM. Hotter than hades when the wind laid. Lots of limits in that field. Little slower this am got 11 but actually got those in a box or so. Shot pretty good for me. Always great getting out and getting a Thriftway Burger going through Graham.

Very nice and that thriftway burger is no joke. Too bad the grill is closed on the weekends.

Thanks Bobcat. It is my favorite burger going right now. Been hitting that place for years. Burgers and Billiards makes a good one too. Solid Patty Melt as well.
