that's a good thing. Big money Betting is a losers game.

Over Under on wins is betting whether a team will end up being over (or under) the the predicted number of wins set by the book. I think Texas is 9.5 this year. So if you pick the Over, they need to end up with 10 wins.

Agreed on the overall concept of sports gambling being a loser. I used to watch a lot of sports and follow analytics carefully and would bet small amounts. It's amazing how often something can swing one way or the other late in a game and you lose. I personally had a tendency to pick the favorites, which obviously doesn't pan out all the time. I quit betting altogether many years ago. My oldest son in college tells me all about these kids at school who bet big sums of money regularly. It's not going to end well for some of those guys, and I told him to stay away from it altogether (esp. since he doesn't have the funds to lose).

I saw that last night and really couldn't believe it. So much for a commissioner being impartial. Everybody hates big bad Texas including the commissioner. And the deputy commissioner made his snide remarks about Texas at Media Days. Yet none of them are saying anything about OU leaving. Like Sark told the team, "Embrace the hate."

You would think that the head of a conference would try to act not partial...... I understand that the two biggest teams in your conference left and you have hard feelings, but keep it professional.

I'm heading to Austin with the family early Saturday morning and going straight to my son's fraternity tailgate and then the game. We'll be in the shade the whole game, so shouldn't be too bad. PSA- they are allowing fans to bring in a bottle of water.

Pat Green will be playing at Longhorn city limits we'll be there. Then we'll be roasting in the North End Zone. The only good thing is that we get to go into the AC and get food and beverages until the third quarter. We are pumped, and ready to go.....
