I have two 5 CF chest freezers. I still have quite a bit of deer meat from last season. I have started to eat some every week, and am going to give some away. I just defrosted the freezers, and they are set for a new season. I posted this before, but will again. I bought an inexpensive battery operated freezer alarm from Amazon. It came with one monitor, and two sensors. I can see if the temp gets to high. About three years ago one of my freezers went out, and I lost the contents. It was beyond disappointing. Good luck this season.

My freezer alarm alerted me to an issue a couple of years ago and I was able to get it replaced and save everything inside. The alarm was well worth the few bucks it cost.

Our freezer is prepped and ready, meaning we've just about eaten all of the meat in it. To the point where we're actually rationing the few packs of it we have left.

Tolerance is the virtue of a man without conviction.

The end of the world began the day it was created, and life is a sexually transmitted terminal disease.
