They were blocking the entrance to "Burning Man" in Black Rock Desert, a federal property. Those police are private police hired by the promoters of Burning Man.

Well, the idiots did figure out a way to get attention at Burning Man, and in reality, that's really what is driving them. You can tell that just looking at them.

They have no idea how big the business end of a .45 is when it's pointed at your nose. You can actually see the hollow point in there waiting for the go sign.

What's funny is that these protestors were protesting the millionaires that are taking over Burning Man and making it too corporate. Any other day of the week, the people in that traffic jam on their way to Burning Man would have been sitting on the ground right next to them. Instead, the traffic jam folks were like GTF out of my way, the Orgy dome is open and I'm missing out.
