Looking for leads on Chessie pups. or even older pups. We lost outlr 5 year old Chessie to cancer earlier this week
I have 3 young kids and fish/hike more than I hunt these days, so temperment is the priority. I want a dog I can trust atound my kids and that will make a good family member. It' just not the same withou a chessie in the house.

I don't have a lead, but good luck. I've had two Chessies. My first one was the best hunting dog I've ever had or ever will. The second one didn't hunt (I didn't have access to pheasant anymore), but he was a GREAT dog.

Prayers Up for Yall.
I have brown dogs & love them. You may have to search the web up north a little. Seems to be more breeders up north.

Thanks Red Pill and DuckFvr

I found a pup, driving to Kansas to get him Labor Day Weekend. I didn't think I'd be training a pup this year, but things have a way of happening. Time to dust off the ole check cords and bumpers.

Sorry man…worst part of owning them and that’s way too soon!

Glad you found one…house is fixing to come alive again. Have a safe drive and enjoy the pup!

Sorry for your loss and congrats on the new pup. I'm training a new one right now. I know one thing. No matter how much you think you puppy proof the place, they keep getting into stuff. I always forget just how much fun a new pup is.

Thanks Sniper! Good luck with the new pup!
You're right about dog proofing, that's on my to do list this weekend.

Sorry to hear of your loss..we experienced the same with our 3rd Chessie she was 8 and cancer got her. Some of the best family dogs you can get. Ours were the most enjoyable when playing with children, best duck and goose dog and would get birdy on quail!! Please post pics as we all would enjoy them.
