Been seeing teal already here around Abilene. Seems crazy with the heat!

Better get your teal tags before they run out…

Was out there yesterday getting stuff ready for dove season. Ponds are practically puddles at this point. Never got a chance to check the big lake, but saw some big ducks flying at sundown. Assumed they were just resident birds. Not much for dove numbers either

Fires in Canada are pushing Ducks Down into the lower 48. Seen a ton of ducks in Illinois , At least a month or more ahead of the normal

We had Teal in Howe and Bonham last week. Pretty early. See if they hang. Probably full moon would imagine

We had two days of stiff North winds with TS Harold. That’s all it takes to get those speed demons to move south. We had 7” of rain here west of Corpus. All the standing water left in the harvested milo fields are about gone already with it being so dry prior to this event. Only good thing is all the tanks filled up and the marsh puddles are full. Plan to scout out a few holes Labor Day weekend.
