Only if he markets them as genuine. If he sells them as knock offs he's fine.

A person doesn’t need to sell a counterfeit product to violate both Texas and Federal law.
A person commits an offense if the person intentionally manufactures, displays, advertises, distributes, offers for sale, sells, or possesses with intent to sell or distribute a counterfeit mark or an item or service that:
(1) bears or is identified by a counterfeit mark; or
(2) the person knows or should have known bears or is identified by a counterfeit mark.

There were workarounds for selling replica watches that kept people from picking up criminal charges. They would frequently use a genuine Rolex face on the watch to get around any legalities. There are some really good replicas out there but I've never tried messing with them.

CBP - Custom and Border Protection will allow counterfiet items to be brought into USA for personal use Customs Directive No. 2310-011A dated January 24, 2000, “Customs officers shall permit any person arriving in the United States to import one article, which must accompany the person, bearing a counterfeit, confusingly similar, or restricted gray market trademark, provided that the article is for personal use and not for sale.” Moreover, the Directive states that “Customs officers shall permit the arriving person to retain one article of each type accompanying the person.” https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2020-Feb/2310-11a_3.pdf
