Me and a few friends are wanting to do a cast & blast this upcoming waterfowl season and I'm looking for any recommendations or feedback from others who had good experiences in this area. Thanks.

I run GordaFly, and I do fly fishing charters out of Matagorda. I can accommodate multiple boats if you are into fly fishing.
There are plenty of Air BnBs and VRBOs, also I recommend the Full Stringer Lodge for accommodations.

I cant speak to Matagorda, but if you are willing to drive another hour and a half, the Baffin Bay Rod and Gun Club does a heckuva fine job.
Some days you're the pigeon, other days you are the statue!
