Shotgun is clean and Hunting box packed and ready. Didn't go through a pre-check last year and found one of my Decoys failed as I was setting up. Lesson learned. Found another decoy that failed during the pre-check...I have a replacement for that one. Better to find the issues now, then sitting in the field with no options.

I take all the batteries out on my mojo's at end of season, so don't have to worry about corrosion. Gun still needs cleaning, and dog needs a bath. Still have 1/2 case of shells that I bought 2 years ago. Birds haven't been that great the past 5 years, so not all that stoked about the season. And it's HOT!!!

Don't forget your bucket, always need a bucket when dove hunting.

My brother got me this for my birthday a few years back. It's everything in 1 for bird hunting. I love it.

I have a Master checklist for all the gear; chair, scissors, bags, Bowl, etc... Without it, almost guaranteed to forget something. I remove/disconnect the batteries after each hunt. After 8 years, the old decoy just gave up. I probably should check my chair...I have experienced chair failure in the past...nothing last forever.

my list is a MUST. Like Slimpickin points out. I will always forget something. I like a special stool which is higher than the usual style. It's much easier for me to stand up.

I just bought a new mojo, make sure it fits into the stake. I had to take a file to the plastic insert to get it to slide into the top of the stake.
