IF you had to choose a location in Texas to go dove hunting this year, where would it be?

If you want to stay close check out the outfitters around wichita falls.

A cast and blast on the coast would be fun.

I love west texas dove hunting. I got a rancher I been hunting with for years, but you, Buzz, should check out Ranger Creek, have only heard good things about them, and seems they always have birds.

I don't care if I hunt, I just get a kick out of my two GSP's retrieving the birds. I haven't lost a single bird since I started hunting with my first one 6 years ago.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

A west tx dove hunt hasn’t been what it’s been like in yrs past. The birds are there yes but the fast and furious and frequency of them has slowed. The birds have gotten spotty and aren’t out there everywhere like 5 yrs ago. I used to lease my place for dove and have quit doing so because of this. I have leased to buzz in the past and they had a good time. I think the slaughter em all and the freeze has really taken a toll on the bird populations out west. I could be completely wrong. Just my two cents. I am thankful though to have birds most of the time.

I blame the ongoing drought out there as much as anything.

I hunt WTX and we normally find the birds, but sometimes it takes some doing.
Uvalde sesame fields are unlike anything I have ever seen the few times I've been.

We will be putting on hunts in multiple locations in south texas, September only. Please feel free to contact me or Charles about pricing and lodging. We do day hunts and you grab a hotel nearby or stay on the property with meals and lodging!

I’m seeing more here right now than I may have ever seen. My ranch is covered with them. This season should be very good here.

I've made one trip down there and it was almost like a south American hunt. Fast and furious and fun as well!
I've got one trip planned for the RGV this year to meet my son who's working on a pipeline job down there. We plan on doing a hunt while I'm down there.
