Came across this interesting article this evening about the PFAS and forever chemicals being used in waterproofing gear like waders and jackets. The article mentions several high end companies using these chemicals and I assume Sitka and Chene do to. It's worth the read amif you have a few minutes.

Yup, put the fire fighting foam out of business. Garland paint plant explosion supposedly killed the fish in the creek for miles. Foam drained into the local creek and down to the lake. All old power transformers were replaced due to this stuff. Replacement fluid is poor substitue.
So basically, same as global heating!
