Used to have Cuddeback and the pic they sent wasnt as good as when you pulled the SD. We just went to Spartan and theres almost no difference in quality from whats sent to the card. So little difference that we never pull the card(just clear remotely ever so often.)

The spypoint can take decent quality photos. You do have to request the HD photo, but they aren't bad. The issue is getting the camera to be reliable. We started with 8 of them. In three years, we are down to 2 that still work. When those two die, I will be getting a few new cameras. Will probably be looking at the tacticam reveal.

right now they have a Reveal X2 package with 32gb card and solar panel for 200. Solar is a must, too many batteries otherwise. I don't strap them, I tree mount with eye screw and eyebolts and they hold better. The firmware update can be added to card on a pc and taken to the field for an update, thinking about doing this soon. Great asset if you dont want to sit in the blind waiting for pigs all night. Drop enough corn to hold them for 15 minutes, hang in the trailer and take off when i get an alert

I use mine as a security camera for my barn. It is a Tactacam and it is ok but the pictures are not as clear as the Spartan I had.

Crazy I haven't seen one person yet mentioned Moultrie cameras. I have been a long time customer since they come out with first cell cam and now I'm using the edge and Edge Pro. All the cameras are probably good I have just had real good service features and the auto technology that connects to the strongest Tower in the area for $9.99 a month I get 1,000 photos and 10 videos. New Edge Pro has the new readings to stop all the daylight empty photos and only takes photos of selected animals or security.

Are they all the same in regards to data plans? Any better than others for additional cameras? Paying $10 a month per camera if you are running 7-10 cameras adds up quick.

Moultrie has different plans for the multiple camera plans, the 9.99 is just enough pics and videos for my usage.

Covert cameras cost more but work great.

Covert cameras cost more but work great. I have 6 cameras that share a single data plan. 50k pictures per quarter. Price breaks down to about 7$/camera per month. Could be cheaper with less cameras or pics. Yes covert cameras are super reliable and have the best customer service.

Wonder if you could use this ring, door bell cameras? they are pricey, but do they work for getting an image that activates the field?

I have Reconyx att. No complaints and picture quality is pretty good. Very remote but am able to log in for live view most all the time.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

We use a service that has put up 12 Cuddeback cameras and several repeaters on the ranch. They have experience in getting signals out of the canyons across long distances to high ground and then to the cell towers.

My friend hunts Shackleford and has about 20 cuddelink all connected. Maybe a couple repeaters, im not sure. In thicker stuff in Okla and in S Tx he couldnt get them to connect near as well.
