On Netflix. It think I will watch it tonight. See how much cocaine he was pounding.

I saw one clip that said when he was with the Browns his iPad said he watched 0.0 hours of film.

My son was watching that yesterday. I asked him what he thought. He's pretty empathetic toward Johnny. At the time when all this was going on I think folks just didn't like him or A&M in general for typical reasons... cocky annoying entitled. And those descriptors apply to the university as well in my mind.

There's no denying how talented he was on the college field. Lots of demons. But seems to have turned out okay.

I haven’t seen it yet. But would have liked to see him apply himself more in NFL.
I guess we all peak at some point.

I don't need to watch the documentary to understand how big of a loser he is.

I quite frankly find it hilarious that they were able to convince...literally everyone....that the Manziels were some type of E TX oil barons...

When in reality he was making bank on autographs and they were washing money through grandpa. His buddy Nate came up with it and took a 20% cut. This was of course still the same time period when the NCAA considered getting money from your own name on the same level of crime as committing mass murder

He was 19 and going pedal to the metal. Easy to fall into the hype that young.

Look at Mike Tyson, 18-19 years old , 21 million dollars and a 3rd great education, how'd that turn out. When these numbers align those guys need a keeper.

I think Johnnys problems started with his parents. Then he was a king at A&M an no one wanted to discipline him.
Guarantee they covered up his drug tests.

Without Mike Evans he would have been a 5th rounder, if drafted at all. Evans went up and grabbed every wounded duck he threw.

He was a helluva talent.
Wonder if they’ll talk about his attempted suicide after getting cut by the Browns...

I agree 100% that Mike Evans won him a Heisman.

I watched the doc last night. It was highly entertaining. He loved the fame, girls, travel, and parties and didn't like pro football. He said it himself last night. He had a bunch of weak coaches including Sumlin and Coach Bro who knew what he was doing and were scared to discipline him. He pissed it all away, but he wasn't making a whole lot of excuses about where he is now.

Not much into college (amateur) football, but he seemed pretty electrifying in college, throwing on the run, scrambling…. And at the NFL combine from what I remember, he turned some heads. I remember he was the only one that came out with shoulder pads on to throw.

Maybe he sucked in the NFL because he watch zero tape before games and partied all night. Being an NFL QB you can’t wing it, you need to study and work your asss off.

In his Heisman year, Evans caught 82 of JFF's 295 completions, that's 28% -- Evans was a great wr and a big help to JFF, but 72% of the passes were caught by others, and, most of those passes were right on the money.....oh, and I don't think Evans carried Johnny any of his 1410 rushing yards that year......

JFF completed 595 passes in his two years, 151 of those were to Evans, but that's only 25.4%....

But, hate if your gona hate....

No, you’re right. He was a once in a generation talent. up

33% of his yards went to Evans. Evans average YPC almost doubled Manziels YPC. If Johnny was throwing something other than a screen or a quick slant, it was going to Evans and it was an ugly [censored] ball.

Buy, fanboy if you’re gonna fanboy….

He did not throw at the combine- watch the documentary. He was drunk and hungover at the combine. He also was not going to pass a drug test without cheating the system. He and his agent concocted a plan and a wild tale to leave the combine early saying his dad had a heart attack. All smoke and mirrors and only one team was dumb enough to draft him in the 1st round.

Some people's purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others. Maybe he has another purpose, I'm not sure what that would be.

I will watch it, maybe tonight. Going off memory again, thought he had his own pro scout combine or something, where he threw with the pads on…

What’s “JFF”?

“Johnny Football Failure”?

Probably this.

The amount of importance and idolization given to that person is yet another example of how our modern society loves to derive pleasure from the achievements of others.

I do think he should have been able to make money off his image and autographs though. The NCAA is wrong there.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I did see something today about Texas A&M having to shut down their NIL 12th man collective.

My wife’s super babtist uncle, and a&m alum, lthought JF hung the moon when he was playing in college station. Everytime you saw him that’s all he wanted to talk about. I warned him that kid wouldn’t cut it at the next level. After all the JF demons emerged he didn’t want to talk about it anymore…..funny how that works.
I dislike a&m because I think her uncle sucks at life.
