I've met three. One was my sister's boyfriend, who killed his Father, while he was attacking his mom, that was ruled as justified. The second was my junior swim team coach who killed a woman. I don't know much about it because I was pretty young. The third is a maybe, my aunt's boyfriend, had a deep scar on his face, he was also cut across the stomach, the man that did it was murdered a couple of hours after Earl was released from the emergency room. No one was ever charged, but the general consensus was that, Earl did it.

Not me but my uncle was good friends with Lee Harvey Oswald's brother. LHO was a pawn....not a murderer. You don't think he shot JFK?

It was an easy shot, most men I shoot rifles with could have made both. A sad day, less than a week before my first birthday.

I had forgotten how close the shots were that Oswald took. One would think out of the 6th floor of a building it would probably be a long shot right? Nope only 265' with this rifle at a moving target. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy_assassination_rifle#:~:text=Five%20of%20the%20six%20shots,was%20struck%20in%20the%20head.

Only one acquaintance I know of was a “killer”. Guy worked for me in the late 80s. Vietnam vet with bad PTSD, but overall was really nice and likable. He was a rat terrier in the war and the close combat killing he did really messed with him. He’d missed work on occasion without calling so I’d send someone over to check on him. Usually he was blackout drunk. Never fired him because I knew the demons he was dealing with. The last time I sent someone to check on him for missing a day his house was wrapped in police tape. Neighbor told us he’d died (suicide) in a standoff with police after shooting his wife.

Went to school with some guys that killed one man and crippled another in Ben Wheeler, Tx while on what they thought was a hog hunt. Interesting story….. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8LHE4Ty/If you’re interested in the story it starts with part one

Not a murderer but my boat mechanic's brother, who I hung out with at times, killed a guy on lake Lewisville. They were out messing around in 2 boats and the one boat stopped in the back of a cove near The Colony. My boat mechanic's brother went running back into the cove straight into the sun. Ran the guy over and killed him. He was indicted for manslaughter but I think he just got probation. The guy he ran over was the mechanic's BIL.

A couple. But the most notable is my dad's brush with a famous killer. Shortly before he and my mom met, my dad dated a woman for a few weeks in the late 60's and found out that her ex was Richard Speck who was in prison for his ghastly crimes. This was not just a story by my dad, several of his friends from back in those days corroborated it over the years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Speck

Reporters would go to the little farm community of Rockwall nosing around for a story about Marina and the girls. They were politely but firmly advised to go away and leave Mrs Porter and the girls alone.

The young POS from Plano that drove out to El Paso and murdered 20+ folks in a Walmart was in my son's graduating class. They weren't buddies, but they did have a few classes together. My son said he was a quiet kid that kept more or less to himself. It seems to often be the case with nut jobs. Who was this? Only thing I can find is Patrick Crusius from Allen.

Never really thought about it, but I guess I knew a couple.... Worked with a guy at Denton Co. SO, he was a bailiff for one of the county courts. Really met him through my dad. My dad was the president of a local bank and would hire this guy to walk tellers to their car after they closed. He was going through a bad divorce, had some financial problems, etc. I spoke to him one day a work, that night he went home and killed his girlfriend. Last I knew he was in prison. This was 25 years ago. Family in Denton that we knew as our kids grew up. Their daughter was my oldest daughter's age, son was my middle son's age. We knew the family only because we had kids the same age, same functions, etc. This was from kindergarten through HS. Son was Joseph and daughter was Emily. They got into an argument in the kitchen, mom broke it up. He went and retrieved a firearm and shot her dead as mom watched. Last I knew, he was in prison, this was a little over a year ago. https://dentonrc.com/news/crime/tri...899bdd7-8661-529c-8a6c-44f19c45cf53.htmlThis is a family story and other than that, I have no other information....supposedly, my great granddad showed up at home one morning covered in blood. He packed a bag and left, never returned. I want to say he's buried in California. My grandad was a kid when all this took place. He was raised bu his uncles. I was 8 when my grandad died, so it certainly wasn't anything we discussed and this is all my mom knows. Apparently he was a real piece of work. Recent info we've found show he was convicted of horse theft in the early 1900's, among other crimes.

I was in a bar in Mingus Texas around 1988-89 and started having drinks at bar when this guys sitting next to me starts being friendly (big Hispanic dude with long hair). We chit chatted for about 20 mins then all of a sudden he says today is my first day out of the joint for manslaughter. I said cool and had another drink. Then left. Not much to it, but that bar in Mingus was a rough place. I frequented that bar a couple of times in those days. That was a rough place back in the day. I pulled in the parking lot one evening. There was a rather large woman and I can only assume her boyfriend standing outside. They were having words and she reached in the back of a pickup and pulled out a cedar post and went to beating the snot out of him. I didn't stop. I just drove out of the parking lot and went back to Stephenville.

About 20 years ago I ran into a childhood friend I had known since kindergarten. We were catching up on how everyone from the old neighborhood was doing. When he hits me with Chris is in jail for murder...... Chris was always a happy go lucky kind of guy, and was probably the last one of our group that I thought was capable of killing someone. He and another buddy could always be found together, they were tight. Well apparently Chris's friend was rolled by a group of guys at a party, and when Chris found out he lost it. He got his gun and shot what he thought was their empty car, what he didn't know was there was someone in it, or so the story goes. He ended up killing the guy in the car, and went away for murder.

Ive known this guy for a long time. He is on KWTX . Christipher Weiss is accused of killing his mistress and their baby in November 2017. She was gonna tell his wife. This dude has been in the county jail for almost 6 years. Costing the county over 170,000.00 dollars. Court process needs to be sped up.

In the late 80s I worked for a security guard organization. A large one. A guy I supported hiring was an unarmed guard, that never got licensed. After about 6 months the agency in charge notified us. Evidently his was a felon and served his time. No license for him.
I did the exit interview. I told him what little I knew and he felt compelled to “spill the beans.” A guy/sancho raped his younger sister. He lost it and whacked that joker. I had some mixed emotions I have to tell you. I thought that is was something that a lot of brothers would have done. And also felt like it was wrong or excessive. He did what he did and served time. He was a model employee and worked a ton of o/t trying to make ends meet.
In the end I was glad to know him. Odd ending for sure.
