This is an older skull mount but a good one from 1998. Horns have a lot of dust and crud on them. How do I bring the life and dark color back into this mount with emphasis on the horns. Thanks,

Brush the horns first with an old toothbrush to get the dust off. Then lightly brush on some Mop-n-Glow and let them dry.

I would take some compressed air to it while gently blowing and brushing with that toothbrush. On the backside after cleaning add a little Mop n Glow as mentioned above but just to the light area. Let it dry and see if it darkens enough. I thinking it's not gonna but might. If you want it darker try some very light wood stain applied with a brush in the direction of the hair fibers. Go easy and slowly. Try a spot and see. Then add more or a darker color until you get what you want. Let dry a couple days the apply the Mop n Glo.
Can't see alot of the skull but it looks like it wasn't degreased completely. If you can get the horns sheathes off without tearing them up. Get them off and work on them as above.
Lots of utubes and info on cleaning degreasing and whitening skulls. I wouls soak in Dawn and water for a few days, then would rinse clean, then a bath of peroxide to whiten, reinstall sheathes and voila good to go . easy peasy
