Goes off at 7 am and 7 pm. And the camera sees all. And I’d set the trap if I wanted to catch the big hog that frequents the feeder, but I don’t want the hassle of dealing with it.

I used to set out feeders, but pigs just took it over. When I removed the feeders, no more hog problem. Looks like you have a nice place there.

Every now and then they seem to need corn. It wasn’t 10 am yet, so it wasn’t 100, but probably over 83 if not in the shade. I just put the picture up for the humor factor. Looks like they sent one guy out as a scout while the rest hang back.

I am not finding it that hot outside during the day this year

I just came in from working outside for about an hour. I was in the shade but it's 105 right now. Damn hot.

At noon today the direct sunlight felt extra hot, so I brought an infrared temp gun outside to measure some surfaces that were sitting in the direct hot sunlight:

hood of my little white truck - 125°
light-color shingle roof (doghouse) - 135°
dark-green color metal top of ac condenser (not running) - 165°
Top cover of plastic Coleman ice-chest (empty) - dark green top - 202° ! (measured twice!)

We had a good breeze this afternoon so I mowed and weed-wacked for about an hour. It was 102 and yeah, it was hot. A good straw hat and some shade areas made it OK, but I suspect that I won't do it when I get older! No beer was harmed, but several may have been consumed.

The thermometer on my smoker read 150 today. But i haven't had a fire in there in days.

The Channel 5 weather guy was talking about his subject a week or so ago. He said that people don't know how bad they are hurting their dogs if they walk them on the pavement. I think it was mid 90's here. I took my laser thermometer and checked. The concrete driveway was 134 and the blacktop road was 150.

Yup, back in the 80's I ate a couple slices of brisket cooked in a black chevy truck with black interior parked in fresh asphalted parking lot on a 107 degree day. The owner of the truck said he would never do it again but he did it that day.

I know the water in the gulfs hotter than my shower water, it showed 92 degrees yesterday. If a hurricane decides to pop up somebody’s probably getting wiped off the face of the earth by a monster.
