Browning Gold Hunter or Ruger Red Label, both in 20 gauge. Opening weekend, if a lot of birds, Ruger Red Label 28 gauge.

Browning Superposed 12 ga.

It just fits me so well and I shoot it better than any of my other shotguns.

Remington 1187 circa 1950 something. Not my favorite because it is the best shooting gun. It's my favorite because it was my grandfather's bird gun.

My most treasured......

[Linked Image]

Two "Sweet Sixteens". Browning Sweet Sixteen and Menefee 16 Gauge.

I will be 72 this year. I went with my Dad in 1958 to Baytown to pick up this Belgium Browning Sweet Sixteen. He was not a hunter. IIRC this was the only firearm he owned while I lived at home.

[Linked Image]

Like an idiot I had the barrel chopped and a poly choke installed when I was 14. I paid for it with my own money that I made mowing yards. Because of the type of man he was, he let me do it.

I grew up shooting it.

He passed in 2009.

I still hunt with it.

My current favorite.......

[Linked Image]

16 Ga. Arrieta 903 S x S.

next.....

[Linked Image]

28 Ga. Huglu (CZ) S x S

and one I picked up late in the season last year as a curiosity...

[Linked Image]

12 Ga. CZ Hammer S x S

ya!

Depends on the scenario. In close shooting, Tristar 410 auto. Normal hunts ,28 ga A400, windy longer range shooting sweet 16 browning

I have a little 28 GA Japanese made Charles Daly O/U, that without a doubt is my favorite...but this year for opening day at least i will shoot a single shot .410...and at least 1 dove or teal hunt I will use Marcy's M2 20 gauge, since she isn't here to hunt with it

You sure it's not an 11-48? The model 1187 didn't start production until 1987!!

It’s going to be one of my four citori’s. I have the 12, 16, 20 & 28 gauges. It’s down to which case I grab first from the back of the suv.
Since the shoulder is getting older I’m betting the 20 and 28 gauge will get the call September 1st.
